Immunogen: AT5G42270 Q9FH02 Synonyms: FTSH5, VAR1, VARIEGATED 1 Background:
FtsH is an essential ATP-dependent metalloprotease for protein quality control in the thylakoid membrane of Arabidopsis thaliana chloroplasts. It is required for chloroplast development during leaf growth, and particularly for the specific degradation of photo-damaged D1 protein in the photosystem II (PSII) complex to maintain photosynthesis activity. In the Arabidopsis thaliana genome, 12 genes encoding members of the FtsH family have been identified. Nine of these proteins (FtsH1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12) are located in the chloroplast. FtsH1 and FtsH5 are interchangeable in thylakoid membranes. -

Immunogen: AT4G00860 Q38842 Synonyms: ATOZI1, COX X2, ARABIDOPSIS THALIANA OZONE-INDUCED PROTEIN 1, AT0ZI1 Background:
Cytochrome c oxidase is the last enzyme in the respiratory electron transport chain of mitochondria and it is also called Complex IV. Cytochrome c oxidase receives an electron from each of four cytochrome c molecules, and transfers them to one oxygen molecule, converting molecular oxygen to two molecules of water. In higher plants mitochondria, Complex IV processes 14 subunits. COX X2 (AT4G00860/AT1G01170) is one subunit of the Complex IV.
