Background:	PHR1 is similar to phosphate starvation response gene from Chlamydomonas. Weakly responsive to phosphate starvation. Acts upstream of PHO2 in phosphate signaling and PHT1;1 in arsenate accumulation. Its expression is responsive to both phosphate (Pi) and phosphite (Phi) in shoots.
