Background:	EIN3 (ethylene-insensitive3), a nuclear transcription factor that initiates downstream transcriptional cascades for ethylene responses. EIN3 interacts with MYC2, MYC3 and MYC4 to inhibit jasmonate-induced expression of wound-responsive genes and herbivory-inducible genes, and plant defense against generalist herbivores.
