RP-S2 / Anti-30S rps2 ribosomal protein S2 antibody

Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. 30S rps2 ribosomal protein S2 (RP-S2) is one of subunit of plastid small ribosomal subunits; it located in chloroplast and involved in translation.

PhytoAB has PHY0427S antibody, the immunogen is KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide of RPS2 derived from Arabidopsis thaliana ATCG00160. Among 25 analyzed species, the sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 100% homologues with the sequence in Brassica napus, Cucumis sativus, Gossypium raimondii, Vitis vinifera, and 80-99% homologues with the sequence in Spinacia oleracea, Solanum tuberosum, Medicago truncatula, Glycine max, Populus trichocarpa, Zea mays, Oryza sativa Indica Group, Sorghum bicolor, Triticum aestivum, Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803.
