CHS / Anti-Chalcone synthase antibody

Chalcone synthase (CHS) is a key enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of flavonoids. It is required for the accumulation of purple anthocyanins in leaves and stems. It is also involved in the regulation of auxin transport and the modulation of root gravitropism.

PhytoAB has antibody PHY1168S, the immunogen is KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide derived from C-terminal section of ATCHS in Arabidopsis thaliana AT5G13930.

Among 25 analyzed species, the sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 80-99% homologues with the sequence in Cucumis sativus, Vitis vinifera, Populus trichocarpa, Brassica napus, Brassica rapa subsp. chinensis, Brassica rapa var. parachinensis, Brassica rapa, Solanum tuberosum, Spinacia oleracea, Glycine max.
