CA2 / Anti-Beta carbonic anhydrase 2, chloroplastic antibody

Beta carbonic anhydrase 2 is involved in reversible hydration of carbon dioxide, and ensures the supply of bicarbonate for pep carboxylase. In Arabidopsis three CA proteins are present, termed CA1 (AT3G01500), CA2 and CA3 (AT1G23730).

PhytoAB has PHY1518S antibody, the immunogen is KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide of CA2 derived from Arabidopsis thaliana AT5G14740.

Among 25 analyzed species, the sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 100% homologues with the sequence in Brassica napus.
